Iomega, part of EMC, introduces the new StorCenter ix4-200d quad-drive NAS appliance that is designed or small businesses and home office networks. The ix4-200d has four SATA II hard drive bays and supports RAID 5, RAID 10 and JBOD configurations.
The StorCenter ix4-200d is available in 2TB, 4TB and 8TB capacities. It features iSCSI block-level access for efficient storage utilization, new front panel LCD and QuikTransfer button for easy one-touch copying of selected files, Windows Active Directory support and device-to-device replication to network targets.
Iomega StorCenter ix4-200d dual Gigabit Ethernet connectivity has three USB 2.0 ports for adding printers or external storage. It supports UPuP and is DLNA compatible. There is integrated EMC Retrospect backup software.
Iomega’s 2TB StorCenter ix4-200d NAS is now available worldwide for $699.99, the 4TB model is $899.99, and the 8TB model is $1,899.99.
