Gateway SX Series Small Form Factor PC

Gateway, part of Acer, introduces the SX series small form factor PC and DX series mini-towe PCs for Back-to-School shoppers. The SX series is the PC maker’s first small form factor PC (SFF PC).

One of the models of the SX series, the SX2800-01 is powered by Intel’s Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz processor, 4GB RAM, and integrated GMA X4500 graphics. It has 640GB hard drive and a 18x DVD burner. The SFF has one eSATA port, one IEEE 1394a port, one HDMI port and 9 USB 2.0 ports. The price is $499.99.

Gateway DX Series Mini-tower PC

The DX series, on the other hand, comes in mini-tower form factor and is available with AMD or Intel processors. The DX4300-03 is boosted by AMD’s Phenom X4 9750 2.4GHz processor and has ATI Radeon HD 4650 graphics card, a 1TB hard drive, integrated TV tuner, WiFi while the DX4820-02 gets a Core 2 Quad Q8400 2.66GHz CPU, 750GB hard drive, 512MB NVIDIA GeForce G210 graphics card. Both models have 8GB RAM, 18x DVD burner, multi-in-one card reader and HDMI port. The former costs $749.99 and latter is priced at $899.99 including 23-inch Gateway FHX2300 LCD display.
