Toshiba announced in Japan the new dynabook SS RX2/WAJ (part number: PARX2WAJLD10MAW3) ultra portable notebook that comes with a 512GB SSD and integrated support for WiMAX connectivity. The laptop is basically the WiMAX-equipped version of the Portege R600-ST4203.
Boosted by an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 1.4GHz processor, the dynabook SS RX2/WAJ is equipped with 3GB RAM, integrated Intel GMA4500MHD graphics and a 512GB SSD. It has a built-in DVD burner. The laptop supports WiMax and WiFi wireless connectivity thanks to Intel’s WiMAX/WiFi Link 5150 chipset.
You can also expect a 12.1-inch LCD screen, Bluetooth, fingerprint scanner and an eSATA/USB combo port. The new dynabook weighs just 1.095kg. It will be available in late-July for 438,000 Yen.
