Texas Instruments (TI) is planning to add its enhanced 4K technology to its next generation DLP Cinema chipset. The DLP Cinema 4K chipset will be shipped to the three licensees, Barco, Christie and NEC, who is presenting over 12 projector models.
Thanks to the new DLP Cinema solution, projectors will be able to light up theatre screens as big as 100 feet and 3D screens as big as 75 feet.
