Sanyo PDG-DET100 DLP Projector

Sanyo launches in the US its new PDG-DET100L (pictured above) and PLC-WTC500L projectors that offers high brightness. They both include the Active Maintenance Filter (AMF) system, which detects air blocks or clogs, then scrolls the filter reel to the next clean filter.

The PDG-DET100L is a DLP-based projector with 1400×1050 SXGA resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio, 7500 lumens brightness and 7500:1 contrast ratio. It comes with dual 330W VIDI UHP Lamps. The projector is able to deliver a screen size from 30-inch to 300-inch.

Sanyo’s PLC-WTC500L, on the other hand, is based on LCD projection technology. It has 1280×800 WXGA resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 5000 lumens brightness and 3000:1 contrast ratio. It gets two 330W NSHA lamps and has the Lamp Selection System, which automatically selects one of two lamps to project from.

Both projectors have HDMI 1.3, RGB, D-sub video inputs. They have a RS-232 and a USB service port. The PDG-DET100L has also S-video and DVI-D connectors and a 3.5mm jack for wired remote. Sanyo PDG-DET100L and PLC-WTC500L will be available in June for $14,995 and $6995 respectively.
