In addition to the new S12 Ion netbook, Lenovo announced the new IdeaPad U350 and IdeaPad G550 notebook PC. The IdeaPad G550, is boosted by Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB RAM, either a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce G105M or integrated GMA X4500 graphics and up to 320GB hard drive. The G550 has a 150inch LCD display.
The U350, on the other hand, is powered by Intel’s Ultra Low Voltage processor such as Core 2 Solo SU3500 1.4GHz or Pentium SU2700 1.3GHz, up to 8GB RAM, integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics and up to 500GB hard drive. It comes with a 13.3-inch LED-backlit display.
Both laptops support WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. They come with a 1.3 Megapixel webcam, and card reader. The G500 includes also a DVD drive. The IdeaPad U350 and G550 will be available in July and June for $649 and $599 respectively. There is also the IdeaPad G450 that has the same configuration as the G550 but with a 14-inch display.
