Motorola announced the r765 and r765IS, two new enterprise-grade iDEN mobile handsets custom-designed for the utility, petrochemical and industrial markets. The r765 and the intrinsically r765IS are rugged phone that meet U.S, Military 810 Spec. They are designed for private iDEN networks.
The r765 offers an impressive 1.0 watt iDEN output power for greater range while the FM/IS-certified r765IS delivers 0.6 watt iDEN output power. They have dual SIM card slots and are are to operate the radios on either 800MHz or 900MHz networks.
