HP announced the new Z Workstation series that take advantage of the new Intel Xeon processor. Three models are available, HP Z800, HP Z600 and HP Z400. All of them include Intel’s Xeon 5500 series processor, integrated memory controllers and Intel Turbo Boost Technology.
The HP Z400 is a mini tower workstation powered by Xeon 2.4GHz-3.2GHz processor and up to 12GB RAM. The Z600 and Z800 get up to Xeon W5580 3.2GHz processor and up to 24GB and 192GB DDR3 RAM respectively. They are equipped with NVIDIA’s Quadro FX or ATI’s FirePro graphics cards.
HP Z800, HP Z600 and HP Z400 starts at $969, $1679 and $1999 respectively.
