Hitachi ships the new 10K RPM Ultrastar C10K300 power-efficinet enterprise hard drive. Available in 147GB and 300GB capacities, the 2.5-inch Ultrastar C10K300 has a dual-port 6Gb/s Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) interface offering up to 6Gb/s data throughput.
The eco-friendly Ultrastar C10K300 has got the EcoTrac classicfication consuming just 3.4 watts in idle and 6.1 watts in active operating mode. It has Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) motors for a low acoustic rating and improved data integrity, and Rotational Vibration Safeguard (RVS) technology for counteracting disturbances that can occur in multi-drive configurations.
