At the MWC 2009, Samsung introduces two BEAT Edition mobile phones, the previously leaked BEATDJ M7600 and the BEATDISC M6710. The BEATDJ features a 2.8-inch AMOLED 240×400 full touchscren display and comes with BEAT DJ application and DISC UI that allows users to add their own voice and sound effects to their favourite songs using Music Filters, Scratch, DJ Mix functions.
Samsung BEATDJ includes a 3 Megapixel camera with auto focus, geo-tagging, Smile Shot and Face Detection. It comes with GPS, and support for DivX and XviD videos. Samsung’s BEATDISC has a 2.6-inch 240×400 half touch display, half touch DISC UI and a 3 Megapixel camera.
Both BEAT Edition phones support MPEG4 / H.263 / H.264 playback, Bluetooth 2.1, FM with RDS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. They have built-in real stereo speakers powered by B&O’s ICEpower amplifier offering SRS Virtual 5.1ch surround sound. Both phones support microSD cards up to 16GB and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and HSDPA 7.2Mbps networks.
