Other than two multimedia navigators, Alpine announced the new iXA-W404, a 2-DIN touchscreen digital media station. Alpine iXA-W404 features a 4.3-inch QVGA touchscreen, AM/FM tuner and a USB port for connecting iPod or iPhone.
The iXA-W404 includes satellite radio and static-free HD Radio with additional TUA-T550HD HD Radio Tuner ($230) and KCA-SC100 SIRIUS Satellite Radio Interface ($80).
The device is Bluetooth-ready. By adding the KCE-400BT Bluetooth Interface Module ($180), the iXA-W404 will get Bluetooth for hands-free calling. Users can also turn the media station into a navigation system by adding the optional Alpine NVE-P1 Navigation Drive and PMD-DOK2 Docking Station.
Alpine iXA-W404 has three pairs of 2V pre-outs and a built-in 18W RMS x 4 amplifier. It will be available in April for $550. The NVE-P1 Navigation Drive is priced at $350 while the PMD-DOK2 Docking Station costs $230.
