Datto presents the Box 2 Box, the first Peer to Peer network attached storage device. The Box 2 Box allows you to create Peer to Peer networks between devices for synchronize data between multiple locations easily, thanks to the Synapse Peer 2 Peer technolgy.
Datto’s Box 2 Box is based on an Intel Atom 230 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM. It runs Linux OS and has 4 USB ports. Available in 250GB, 500GB and 1TB capacities, the Box 2 Box supports SMB/SAMBA, SFTP, NFS file sharing formats.
The P2P NAS offers secure AES+SSL encryption during off-site file transfers. The 1TB model will have dual gigabit ethernet ports. They are priced at $350, $380 or $480 respectively.
