Rogers introduces three new rugged mobile phones, the Motorola Extreme VA76R, Samsung Rugby A826 and ZTE Rock F165.
Motorola’s Extreme VA76R is a rubber-coated clamshell style phone.The Extreme has a 2 Megapixel camera, GPS, color displays, Bluetooth. The price is CA$199.99 after $50 instant rabate with 2-year contract.
Samsung Rugby A836 is also a clamsehll. It has a large color main display, an external display, a 1.3 Megapixel camera and Bluetooth. The Rugby supports 3.5G. You can get the Rugby for $149.99 with a 3-year term.
Finally, ZTE’s Rock F165 is a candy-bar mboile phone with a color display, a 2 Megapixel camera, 3G support, Bluetooth and a microSD card slot. It offers multimedia capability for music, radio and mobile TV. The Rock is priced at $79.99 with a 3-year term.
Both Motorola’s Extreme and Samsung’s Rugby are certified to Military Specification 810F to withstand operating temperatures from -10-degree to 55-degree clecius, up to 26 drops, extreme precipitation, dust and humidity.
