Sony intros Four new Digital Photo Frames

Sony DPF-X1000, DPF-V1000 Digital Photo Frames

Sony announced at the CES 2009 four new digital photo frames, PF-X1000, DPF-V1000, DPF-D92 and DPF-D82.

Sony’s DPF-X1000 is a top-end model with a 10-inch super clear LCD with the TruBlack technology for minimum reflection and more contrast. DPF-V1000 is another 10-inch model. Both X1000 and V1000 have alarm clock, auto dimmer and a variety of slide-show features. The DPF-X1000 comes with 2GB internal memory while the DPF-V1000 has 1GB. They can be connected to Sony’s BRAVIA HDTVs via HDMI.

Sony DPF-D82 and DPF-D92 Digital Photo Frame

The 9-inch DPF-D92 and 8-inch DPF-D82 feature a VGA 15:9 LCD display and 1GB of memory. They have the same clock, calendar and search functionality as above models and they can be wall-mounted.

All four new digital photo frames support Bluetooth that allows users to  import images wirelessly from a Bluetooth-device such as a mobile phone. They all can read JPEG, BMP, TIFF and RAW (SRF, SR2, ARW) image file formats. Other than internal memory, these digital frames accept Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick PRO Duo, SD, MMC, SDHC, Microdrive, xD-Picture Card and Compact Flash memory cards.

Sony’s DPF-X1000 and DPF-V1000 will be released in March for $300 and $250 while the pricing and availabilty of DPF-D92 and DPF-D82 will be announced later.
