Panasonic introduces the new entry-level Lumix DMC-LS85 digital camera that is powered by AA batteries. The Lumix DMC-LS85 is a 8.1 Megapixel camera with a 4x zoom F2.8 LUMIX DC VARIO lens, and the Venus Engine IV processor. The LS85 offers Intelligent Auto Mode (iA), Mega O.I.S, Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector and Face Detection.
Like the FS15 and FS7, the Lumix DMC-LS85 can capture 848×480 video at 30fps or 640×480 clips. It has a 2.5-inch LCD display. Other than 50MB internal memory, the camera accpets SD/SDHC memory cards.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS85 will be available in silver, black and pink in April 2009 for $119.95.
