Iomega debuts the new Home Media Network Hard Drive, an easy-to-use network storage for the digital home. Iomega?�s Home Media Network Hard Drive is available in 500GB or 1TB storage capacities.
The Home Media Network Hard Drive supports iTunes, UPnP and is Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) certified. It can stream digital media content to PCs as well as XBox 360 and PlayStation 3. The Hard Drive is also a Backup device using the integrated EMC Retrospect Express backup software.
Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive has Ethernet connection and a USB port. It is based on custome Linux and it works with Windows, Mac and Linux. The 500GB version of Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive will be available in early January for $159.99 while the 1TB version at $229.99.
