Other than the HDC-TM300 flash memory-based Full HD camcorder, Panasonic presents the HDC-HS300 and HDC-HS200 HD camcorders with built-in 120GB and 80GB capacitues.
Like the TM300, Panasonic HDC-HS300 and HDC-HS200 sports the same 3MOS image sensor totaling 9.15 Megapixel (3.05*3) resolution. They both offer 12x optical zoom, 30x digital zoom, and a 2.7-inch LCD display. The HS300 comes with also a 0.26-inch EVF and integrated 77mV speakers.
Videos are recorded in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 AVCHD format while audio part is compressed using Dolby Digital (Dolby AC3)/5.1ch codec. HDC-HS300 and HDC-HS200 supports also SD/SDHC cards in addition to integrated hard drive.
Update: The HDC-HS200 is available in the US as the HDC-HS250 and come with 120GB hard drive. Panasonic will launch HDC-HS300 and HDC-HS250 in the US market in April for $1,399.95 and $999.95 respectively. They come in Black only.
