Motorola announces the new AURA phone, previously know as the V70, that is a “unique handset that breaks convention and re-establishes artistry in the design and manufacturing of mobile devices”. It is the first mobile device in the world to feature a 16 Million color circular display.
The Motorola AURA is composed of Rockwell 50-55 hardened steel, Swiss-made main bearingand has a Mirror Polish Finish with PVD coating. It features a 1.55-inch LCD display, a 2 Megapixel camera, a Grade 1, 62-carat sapphire crystal lens, 2GB internal memory, and Bluetooth.
The AURA supports playback of AAC, AAC+, AAC+ Enhanced, MIDI, MP3, WAV, WMA v10, WMA v9 audio as well as capture and playback of H.263, H.264, MPEG4 videos. It works with quad-banf GSM, and GPRS/EDGE networks.
It will be launched globally in Q4 2008.
