Other than the Mentor and ProMentor e-book readers, Astak is going to launch its first eBook reader, the EZ Reader, in late November 2008. Astak’s first EZ Reader is powered by a Samsung Arm9 200MHz processor, 32MB SDRAM. It features the ePaper E-Ink technology and comes with a 6-inch 800×600 display. The EZ Reader runs Linux OS and offers a SD card slot that supports up to 4GB of SD cards and a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack. File formats supported include:
PDF, DOC, RTF, HTML, TXT, MP3, WOL, CHM, RAR/ZIP, FB2, Djvu, Epub, BMP, JPG, LIT, PRC
Astak is going introduces next year the Plus version of the EZ Reader that has WiFi and a Pro version with touchscreen and WiFi.
