According to Digitimes, China Mobile, the largest mobile carrier in China, is preparing to launch an Android smartphone that supports China’s TD-SCDMA 3G standard. The production partner of this TD-SCDMA phone would be HTC, who is the maker of T-Mobile G1, the first Android phone.
The source mentioned that China Mobile is also planned to release Linux-based Open Mobile System (OMS) phone, which will run the Android platform with OMS applications.
