Panasonic announced the new Lumix DMC-LX3 digital camera. The LX3 has a ultra-sensitive 1/1.63-inch 10 Megapixel CCD sensor tailor-made for this model. The special CCD has a sensitivity that is almost 40 percent higher and its saturation is increased by 35 percent. It can also deliver images in three aspect ratios of 4:3, 3:2 or 16:9.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 has a F2.0 24mm ultra wide-angle LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMICRON lens, Venus Engine IV image processor for enhanced image quality, ISO up to 6400, MEGA O.I.S, Face Detection and Intelligent ISO.
Like the other two new cameras, the LX3 is able to record 1280 x 720p HD video clips at 24fps. The LX3 will be available in August in two colors, silver (LX3S) and black (LX3K), for $499.95.
