Samsung announced the mass production of the Spinpoint MP2, M6 and F1 hard drives.
Both Samsung Spinpoint MP2, M6 are hard drives for notebook PCs. The Spinpoint MP2 is a 2.5-inch hard drive that offers 80GB to 250GB capacity with 16MB buffer memory. It runs at 7200 RPM speed that offers high performance for desktop replacement notebooks.
Samsung’s Spinpoint M6 offers 500GB capacity and operates at 5400 RPM. It features 3.0Gbps SATA interface with a Free-Fall-Sensor and 8MB buffer.
Finally, the Spinpoint F1 is a 3.5-inch SATA hard drive with 1TB of capacity. Running at 7200RPM spindle speed, the F1 has 32MB cache, Serial ATA 3.0Gbps interface and 175MB/s maximum media transfer rate.
