Panasonic announced the DIGA DMR-XW51 recorder with 1TB hard drive capacity. Other than the 1TB hard drive, the DMR-XW51 supports also recording in DVD-RAM (at 2-5x), DVD-R (at 1-16x), DVD-R DL (at 2-8x) and DVD-RW (at 1-6x) while it support playback from DVD, DVD+/-R, DVD-RAM DVD+/-R Dual Layer, and CD.
The Panasonic DMR-XW51 records video in MPEG2 format and it supports 1080p(1125p) and 1080i(1125i) output, iLink. It has also an SD card slot supporting SDHC and SD Audio.
The DIGA DMR-XW51 will be available from April 1.
