Lenovo is going to introduce its new notebook series, Y Series, in mid-December for the Asia-Pacific region. The new Y Series notebooks come in 13″ and 14″ models. The Y300 comes with 13-inch LCD screen, slot-loading DVD burner, a dedicated GeForce Go 7300 GPU for graphics and it will use a facial recognition technology via the built-in webcam to replace the traditional fingerprint reader.
The Y400 comes with 14-inch screen, 2-watt subwoofer and more multimedai features but without webcam. Both of the machine will be powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processors.
