Today, Panasonic unveiled the HDC-SD1 supporting Full HD Recording. The HDC-SD1 camcorder features a 3CCD sensor with Leica Lens, 1080i FULL HD (1920×1080) video recording, Dolby 5.1 audio recording synchronized on the zoom [ie.the more you zoom, the more the audio will be focused on the subject], HDMI support, 3 different VBRs (6, 9 and 13Mbps) and s 3-inch LCD. You can record 40minutes of video on a 4GB SDHC at 13Mbps and 90minutes at 6Mbps.
The camcorder measures 74x69x142mm and weights 430g without its battery. Panasonic will also release another model with DVD-R recording instead of SD recording, and the VW-PT2-S, a 40GB external hard disk to save your videos. It will be available in December for Euro 1300.
