Panasonic has announced the LF-MB121JD Blu-Ray drive for PC. The drive can burn BD discs at 2x speed. Other than BD discs, it also can record DVD+/-R and DVD+RW at 8x speed, DVD-RW at 6X, DVD-RAM at 5X, DVD+/-R DL at 4X speed, CD-R at 24X and CD-RW at 16X speed respectively.
The drive comes with Power2Go 5 software which supports writing on BD-R/RE discs. The drive will support Windows 2000 / XP and XP 64 bit edition. Blank discs with 25GB and 50GB capacities will be available from April 28.
The Panasonic LF-MB121JD Blu-Ray drive comes with Power2Go 5 software which supports BD-R/RE writing and it will go on sale from 10th June for 100,000 Yen (~$ 850USD).
