TakaraTomy is of the the biggest toy market and the company is entering the media player market.This summer will see the release of a 28g audio-video player that is only 8mm thick (38 x 58mm wide and tall). The tiny device will be available in capacities up to 1Gb (for around ¥17,000) and it supports MPEG-1/2, QuickTime, ASF, WMV, MP3 and WMA playback.
However, the screen is a 1.2-inch TFT and the company is claiming 6hrs audio playback per charge.
