Belkin announced two new accessories designed for Apple’s new Lightning connector, including a hardwired car charger (model F8J075) and the Charge+Sync Dock (model F8J057). They are the first third-party accessories in the market to use the new Lightning connector.
The Car Charger for Lightning has ultra compact form factor and a 4 feet long cable with Lightning connector. It plugs directly into any car power outlet and provides 2.1 Amp/10 Watts output to recharge your iPod nano 7th gen, iPod touch 5th gen, iPhone 5, iPad mini, or iPad 4 quickly.
The Charge+Sync dock, as its name tells, can charge and sync your iPhone 5. The case-compatible dock has a foldaway AUX jack and 3.5mm audio-out port at the back for users to listen to music using EarPods. Of course, you can fold the AUX jack down and listen through iPhone’s speaker. Remove the magnetic base, you will find a cable channel that holds the Lightning cable and connector securely in place.
Both Belkin’s Lightning-compatible Car Charger and Charger+Sync Dock are priced at $29.99.
