Another new compact from Olympus is the VR-340 with 10x optical zoom lens with 24mm wide angle. The affordable long-zoom camera sports a 16 Megapixel CCD image sensor and a 3-inch LCD display with a wide viewing angle. The camera features Dual Image Stabilization, which combines Sensor-Shift Image Stabilization with high ISO sensitivity and fast shutter speeds to capture crisp, clear images in any situation.
The VR-340 includes nine Magic Art Filters for adding style and artistic flair to your photos and videos; and the Beauty Make-up mode that enhances the look of faces in shots. There are also Intelligent Auto (iAuto) mode that automatically recognizes shooting conditions that match any of 29 built-in scene modes, Shadow Adjustment Technology, AF Tracking and Face Detection. The camera can capture 720p HD videos.
Coming in March, the Olympus VR-340 will be available in white, silver, black, purple and red for $149.99.
