While Apple’s iOS devices support AirPrint, not all networked printers have wireless capability. A company called Lantronix introduces the xPrintServer, a wireless printing solution that allows iOS device printing for businesses and consumers with networked printer. Setup is easy, simply plug the xPrintServer anywhere into network and your printer is ready to print from iOS devices.
The xPrintServer supports more than 4,000 printers from leading printer families including HP, Brother, Epson, Canon, Dell, Lexmark, and Xerox. The little box works with iPhone, iPod touch, iPad/iPad 2. It has only one Ethernet RJ45 port, meaning each box can connect to one printer.
The Lantronix xPrintServer will be released in January 2012 and costs $149.95.
