Logitech announced its new Optical Gaming Mouse G400 as the successor to the MX518. The new mouse is equipped with a higher-resolution 3600dpi optical engine, which makes it possible to accomplish high-speed turns without wide hand sweeps or losing fidelity by turning up cursor speed in the Windows control panel. Users can adjust dpi levels (400, 800, 1600, 3600 dpi) on the fly with no software needed.
Like the MX518, the G400 offers the same tracking consistency (<0.5% cursor to hand movement variance at up to 140 IPS, depending on surface) and an increased report rate of 1000 reports per second. The gaming mouse has eight programmable buttons and works with Logitech’s new Gaming Software for easy profile management and button and tracking configuration capabilities. It has sculpted comfort grip and low-friction polytetrafluoroethylene feet for effortlessly movement.
The Optical Gaming Mouse G400 will be available on 19 June for $49.99.
