There is a benchmarking app called Geekbench 2 for iOS devices. The app has recently been updated to add support for multi-core processor. So is this suggesting that next generation iPhone 5 and iPad 2 and even iPod touch 5G are getting multi-core processor? Or the app developer is just making sure the app future-proof. As dual core mobile processor is more mature now and some phone makers are already launching dual core smartphones, it is not surprise to see Apple to use dual core CPU on upcoming iPad and iPhone. Let’s wait and see.
