Acer introduces a new projector with Interactive Whiteboard solution, intended to help educators and administrators in improving the learning process. Known as Acer S5201M, it is a 3D-ready ultra short throw projector based on DLP technology.
The S5201M features native XGA resolution, 3000:1 contrast ratio, up to 3000 ANSI lumens brightness, ColorBoost II+ technology with an optimized 6-segment color wheel design, Lens Shift, LAN control support and support for display over USB. The projector is 3D-ready and is able to transform any lesson into a stunning 3D experience, thanks to DLP 3D Ready technology with 120Hz refresh rate. This short throw projector can display clear, large images up to 81 inches diagonal while it is positioned as close as 1 meter (3.3 feet) from the screen.
Specifically developed for the educational segment, the S5201M features the innovative Interactive Whiteboard solution, a technology that transforms a standard screen into an interactive one that can be operated directly via the Acer SmartPen. With the SmartPen, teachers and students can launch applications, open and close windows just like using a mouse. Or, users can draw or make comments on the projected image, making lessons more appealing and interactive. What’s more, the SmartPen allows users to interact with the projected image directly by simply touching the screen or remotely, drawing or operating applications from a distance, thus affording greater flexibility.
