Samsung presents its Galaxy Player 50 (model YP-G50) Android portable media player. As reported before, Samsung is planning the Galaxy S-like YP-MB2 PMP, but the Galaxy Player 50 shown at IFA 2010 is clearly not the same as the MB2, though it does have a similar appearance.
The YP-G50 features a 3.2-inch touchscreen, a 2 Megapixel rear camera, 8GB or 16GB internal memory and a microSD card. Unlike Apple’s new iPod touch, the Galaxy Player 50 has no front camera. Samsung’s new player runs Android 2.1 and is able to handle a wide range of media formats, including MP3, OGG, AAC, M4A, WAV audio and MPEG4, H.263, H.264, WMV, DivX and XviD video.
