Motorola is bringing to Europe market its new Defy, a rugged Android smartphone that is waterproof, dustproof and scratch resistant meeting the IP67 standard. It gets a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display made of Corning Gorilla Glass.
The new Defy is powered by a 800MHz OMAP 3610 chip with 512MB of RAM and runs Android 2.1 with MOTOBLUR UI. It sports a 5 Megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, CrystalTalk PLUS dual-mic noise reduction, aGPS/GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and DLNA support. The phone has 2GB internal storage and supports microSD/SDHC memory cards.
The Motorola Defy supports WCDMA/HSDPA 900/2100 and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks. It will be released in Q4.
