AT&T announced two new 3G LaptopConnect USB 3G modems, the USBConnect Turbo by LG and the USBConnect Velocity from Option. The USBConnect Turbo is AT&T’s first LaptopConnect device from LG. It is compact and lightweight and features support for HSPA 7.2Mbps high-speed mobile connection. The Turbo has an ergonomic design and unique USB connector that is rotatable.
Option’s USBConnect Velocity is the carrier’s first GPS-enabled LaptopConnect modem. It’s built-in GPS functionality opens the door to location-based applications making it easier than ever for customers to get to their desired destination.
Both Turbo and Velocity have an integrated microSD card slot for portable storage. The former while the Velocity is priced at $29.99, both after mail-in rebate and a new two-year DataConnect contract of at least $35 a month.
