Modu has confirmed that they are planning a touchscreen device for 2010. Like the Modu, the Modu 2 will also be a modular mobile phone that can fit into a number of different jackets to suit users’ needs.
The Modu 2 will get also 3.5G connectivity, in addition to the touchscreen. Users can probably add a QWERTY keyboard simply by getting a new jacket. However, the Modu, as well as the Modu 2 will not be launched in the UK and USA, as “The device just isn’t good enough for demanding Brits and Americans who like to surf the internet and stay connected”, said Dov Moran CEO of Modu.
