Apogee Electronics will release in September 2009 the GiO USB guitar interface and controller for Mac. It is designed for use with Logic Studio 9, MainStage 2 and GarageBand ’09. The single foot controller and interface does effects control, recording function and offers “amazing sound quality”.
The GiO allows hands free recording thanks to its five transport buttons on GiO let you record, play, stop and quickly navigate thru your track without taking your hands off the neck of your guitar. There are also five stompbox buttons that will dynamically change color to match software effects. The controller does A/D and D/A conversion at 44.1/48kHz, 24-bit.
The Apogee GiO offers 1/4-inch high impedance instrument input and 1/4-inch MIDI Expression pedal input, as well as Line-level, 1/4-inch stereo output.
